Psycho (Starley Bros.) ladies safety, c 1889

'Psycho' was one of the brand names of the firm of Jamers Starley and his 3 sons. Starley was 'the father' of the high bicycle, who contributed to the bicycle by adding a step to the boneshaker and by patenting the Ariel and the Tangent bicycles.

In later years Starley and his sons made safeties and this ladies bicycle is on display in the Brooklands museum, south of London.
Wonderful original lining, a well-copied chainguard. This bicycle is really in superb condition.
